There's a mysterious door in the basement of the Farm Town Office Building. Go check it out. It might be hiding something valuable.
That unusual door in J-Lab won't open without a special pass. A lot of researchers used to work at the Mine in Farm Town—you might find something useful there. If you do, bring it back to me.
I think I've figured out how to duplicate the J-Lab Level 1 pass, but I'll need some originals to analyze. Bring me a few and I should be able to make it work.
Two radars in Farm Town are down. Those're our main line of communication. Head over and fix them ASAP, and don't forget to bring two Circuit Boards.
The research has gone smoothly so far, but our experiments will need an ever-growing supply of Space Crystals. We need a more efficient way to deal with the Storm Creatures. Fire-based weapons should be especially effective against them. There's a Shotgunner in Farm Town—the one often lingering near the Radar Station—who happens to carry a fire weapon. Get it for me and I'll see if I can make a copy. And while you're at it, give it a try yourself.
See the storm countdown in Base? Every ten days, the whole planet gets hit by a 24-hour space storm. Only a few safe zones survive it. During the first 12 hours—"Disturbance"—you can barely survive inside. Mud seems to have some kind of resistance. But during the final 12 hours—"Distortion"—it's practically certain death. Despite the danger, the storm's energy is of great research value. I need samples. During the "Disturbance" phase, collect some samples from a high point—the hillside near the Fishing Dock in Farm Town will do.
I got two weird calls at midnight—no one spoke. I traced them to phone booths by two mysterious houses in Farm Town. Please check those booths.
My... My friend asked me to help. He said he was bullied by those black ducks when he worked at J-lab. Now that we're strong enough, it's time to make them answer for it.
The energy of the space crystal remains unstable and must be purified before it can be used safely. I've long known the method of purification, but it requires special machines. You should be able to find them in the lab of J-Lab.
The samples you collected have greatly helped my research, but further experiments require higher concentrations of storm energy. Within the storm dwell unique creatures that drop Space Crystals, ideal for my work. Regular bullets are largely ineffective against them. Use elemental weapons whenever you can.
Now that you've got the right tools, it's time to show your skills. I'm counting on you for the experiment materials.
I've found a technique to infuse weapons with space energy, but I need a few small weapons to test it on. Do you have any spares? A Glick would do.
The space energy infusion was a success, but the yield rate is still too low. I need more raw materials to refine the process.
J-Lab conducted extensive research on space storms before leaving. If you can find some data, it would largely boost my research.
The data is still incomplete. Some of it may be classified, requiring higher clearance. If you can't find it, try checking with the engineer in the South Warehouse of Farm Town—he might have it.

About the spacecraft's life support system, I've got an informant with some intel. But he has a condition: He wants an Electrified MP7. I remember the Speedy Group Commander in the Warehouse Area has one.
About the life support system I mentioned, my informant can't show up in person, so he left the intel in the Warehouse Area. When you head there, bring it back for me. It's stashed in a blue safehouse near the broken bridge.
We've pinpointed the locations of the life support pods. Take the Marker to the Warehouse Area and mark them. I'll have someone remove the life support device inside. The first pod is in a house on the northern side of the East Road Camp. The second is inside a yellow container at the Lumber Mill. The third is in another yellow container near a house south of the Ravine. The fourth is located in the Western Factory office.
The life support pods are back, but some are a little banged up. Help me gather some materials to patch it up.
Besides the pods, the life support system also needs a circulation unit. According to the intel, it's in a factory on the southeastern edge of Farm Town. Go check it out and bring it back.

I'm trying to build a machine to serve as the spacecraft's computing hub. Still need some basic parts—see if you've got any spares.
Turns out the DIY machine's pretty weak in the computing department. I'll keep it... for research. Head to the Mine in Farm Town—it's east of the Sanatorium. See if there's anything more powerful we can use. If you can't get in, try the nearby gas station. Oh, and don't forget to bring the Marker.
That supercomputer draws a ton of power, and it needs serious cooling to keep up. I remember seeing a cooling unit in a house not far from the Hidden Mine.
I've finished analyzing the supercomputer. Most of its parts are toast—we'll need replacements. First, let's find a motherboard that can fit all these parts. There should be one in that Mine.
Also, find a high-capacity power supply—it's a real power hog. A buddy of mine wanted to build a super PC but couldn't afford it, so he just bought the power supply first. He hid it in that town northeast of Farm Town, by the cave that connects to the Warehouse Area. Bring a Shovel and dig it up. He won't mind.
A supercomputer can't function without its core—but gathering the materials won't be easy. This one's going to be tough.

Got an anonymous letter last night. Check this out: "I've got info about the vector thruster you're after. Help me find and mark my stolen car, and I'll share it." I checked—his car should be to the east of Farm Town City Hall's plaza. It's a black SUV.
Got a reply—check this out: "Thanks. The info you want is on a computer on the second floor of the Office Building. It's right in the center of Farm Town. Don't forget a Portable Hard Drive."
I decrypted the hard drive data, which contains leads on the thruster research. The researcher lives in a two-story cabin north of the Construction Site Dormitory in Farm Town. He's got a habit of hiding keys nearby. Let's search the place. We might find what we're after.
We managed to secure the thruster design data, but we're still short of some materials. Could you help gather them?
New anonymous message: "Thanks for recovering my car. Those damn black ducks stole it. Since you've come this far, why not help me get revenge? Don't worry about retaliation—use the Electrified MP7 and pin it on that yellow duck in the Warehouse Area." Help them out. Completing this mission should get us intel on the thruster.

For interstellar travel, the navigation system is absolutely essential. We need the ship's design schematics. Based on solid intel, they're locked in a safe at the Ground Zero Road Camp. The key should be hidden somewhere inside a building in the Warehouse Area. Find a way to get those schematics.
Now that we've got the schematics, we'll need some key materials to finish the job. I'm missing a few—see what you can dig up.
The navigation system is ready, but hardware alone isn't enough for interstellar travel. We need a Star Map to chart the course. They must have left the data behind before they evacuated. Take the Portable Hard Drive to the office in Zone 9 of the J-Lab and download the Star Map data.
Install the Navigation System aboard the ship.
I learned that a rogue scientist developed a low-cost way to generate defense fields. The blueprint is in his room—Dorm 101, Construction Site, Farm Town. With that, we won't have to worry about getting pelted by those small stones on the way.
The Blueprint of Defense Field is decrypted, and the materials are nothing fancy. Go find what we need.
The defense field set up earlier got wrecked after just a couple of stray shots. Cost me a pretty penny. However, I heard there's a legit one in J-Lab's B2. Why don't you go get it? Make sure you're well-prepared though. That place isn't safe.
We've secured the Defense Field, but it's complicated and we need its operation manual. Source says, it can be found in the prison on the south side of J-lab's B2.
Install the defense field aboard the ship.
Interstellar travel requires plenty of energy. Storm Creature crystals are perfect for this! Gather some for me.

Looks like you've obtained a special spaceship blueprint. Hand it over. I'll help you decipher it.
I cracked your blueprint. It's the recipe for a Space Expander. We can fit more people aboard now.
